aftermarket gauge replacement question

changing out my gauges to auto meter all going well except ? can i use stock sending unit wired directly to fuel guage did away with all factory wiring  i believe orig was a 30-230 ohm but with that extra circuit in there that serves 2 gauges did away with that.. now just simple street rod wiring block  most new gauges are 30 230 ohms thanks barry
