T5 electrical plug?

Does anyone know what this plug is on my Tremec T5 transmission? Also what are the twin copper/brass threads?

The cable is connected to a neutral switch there at the top of the transmission and the plug you have circled once plugged into a harness somewhere. It is (was) part of a circuit for a feature that would not allow you to start the car unless it was in neutral.

The other item with the brass connetors is the reverse switch. It's part of the reverse (backup) light circuit.

Steve is correct regarding the 2 switches.  Unless you are running the Ford EFI system and the factory ECM, there is no need  for the Neutral Sw.   If you use the Ford ECM, the neutral switch is needed to access the self diagnostic process call KOER.  I deleted the N. switch and can only use the KOER mode.This seems a minor point, but the info available on the KOER would be helpful.  
The Reverse switch is utilized by removing the  OEM plug from the old harness and splicing on the the MG wiring. Most any Ford std trans. will work. This does appear to be a trans from a Ford? with a HTOB?

Thanks guys this really helps. I bought the tranny new from Summit. I'm installing an AAW wiring harness so I'll figure out where the reverse indicator goes. I have a carb and I'll probably skip the neutral lockout.  I can appreciate the safety aspect but I want to deny the car any more excuses for stranding me.

That is indeed a Tilton hydraulic throw-out bearing.
