mgb v8 gearbox question

hi can anyone tell me if the r380/lt77 gearbox will fit to a rover sd1 v8 on a mgb gt v8 conversion

Yes
I have a 2 wheel drive R380 in my B GT. You will need to dress the top of the transmission tunnel up about 1 inch because of the height.
Bellhousings are interchangeable between LT77 and R380.
Assuming that its a Rubber bumper car or the chrome bumper tunnel mods have been done.
