I just saw use of this, in a Kit Car Mag. It contains polished woven aluminum and appears as polished stainless steel, through "clear" resin. This is to be used as a top layer, with "only" clear resins. The mag. article was making an AC Cobra type scoop. I can see usage for anything in need of accentuation, scoops, racing stripes or interior/exterior trim ?  Now I wonder...will this work as a radio antenna ? How about using fiber optic strands, in a top lay-up. You could have a "light show", in your top coat.  Cheers, roverman.

Cool!

Probably won't work as an antenna, but it might possibly work as a ground plane to make an aerial mounted above it more effective.

Art, I saw that article, that is probably E-glass with an aluminized coating, probably not conductive. Other than that noreason
it can't be used in a normal mould situation, they were just going over a male form so you would have to recoat and sand the outside surface to replicate a mould surface.
