Did a compression test on my stroked Olds 215, not good. #4 cylinder at 50 lbs.

Yes, wondering if a new one would be worth it. This thing is over 50 years old. I'll get it out from under a bench and inspect it before I spend a day cleaning it. I'm assuming it's a stock Olds oil pan, but we'll see. I have to remember this block has Buick numbers but has the extra head bolt holes like an Olds block.

Can you even get a new oil pan? Buick & Olds 215 oil pans are the same.

I think the Rover 3.5 pan will bolt up but depth and pickup are different.

I did get the 5.5" stainless bolt in, so the timing cover and water pump are good to go. It appears the oil pans aren't available new. So, I'm going to use what I have after I clean it up. Too bad, since there are inexpensive pans for other SBCs.

Now I just have get the flange back to flat, then paint it.

Cleaned up and painted; high temp paint.
