Make your plans.  It will be here before you know it.

Home base will be at the Talley Ho Inn, as always.

For anyone not familiar, the Townsend Fall Gathering is a casual event.  No registration, no carshow, lots of hanging out in the parking lot, exploring the Smokies and just having a good time with car people!

MGBV8

Sometimes a cookout, sometimes a small group will go hiking, always a drive or two or three.  :)

Looking forward to it.

I will be driving up from Florida this year.  I plan on starting the trip on Wednesday morning 9/28 stopping at Old Car City in White Georgia and touring it on Thursday morning 9/29 before I drive to Townsend.

There are a couple of new/expanded businesses in town since last year.  The Company Distillery is open - great bourbon and gin offerings, along with a small food menu:  https://companydistilling.com/townsend-distillery/

And The Abbey is adding on a larger kitchen and more dining space.  This is where our small group plays on Sunday afternoons (4-6).  Great craft beers/ales and sandwiches:  https://www.townsendabbey.com/

Good Vibes on the River has some pretty good breakfasts and lunches:  https://www.goodvibesontherivertn.com/

And there's another new one, "Peaceful Side Social Brewery":  https://peacefulsidesocial.com/ - great menu.

Thanks so much for the reports and photos.  Good to see some familiar faces.  Perhaps in 2023 circumstances will allow me to be there again.
