I plan to use a C5 Corvette 6 spd. drivetrain, suspension, cradle, brakes, torque tube/drive shaft and BH. Anyone done such a swap into anything ?

Not C5, but we do have two C4 cars represented here that I am sure you are aware of.  ;)

If I was doing my car over today, I would use the C5/C6 Vette drivetrain. Seems like it would make a really nice package with a shortened torque tube.

Hell, I'm going backwards in my 69 camaro... 92 corvette LT1 and ZF 6 speed swap.

Jim P., isn't 69' to 92' forwards ?   IMHO, when I add-up of  all  individual item$, to build a more conventional drivetrain, C5 seems to be a  good value.  It's a lot of reduced weight, evolved engineering, increased performance and increased rigidity.  I suspect their lack of conversions is A. intimidation factor B.possibly required shorten/lengthen torque tube/d-shaft.  Without a doubt, the 23.5" axle C/L to front mounting face/rear of torque tube, can produce encroachment problems in LBC's.
