M.F!,  never thought of using a B cam for "Tenderizer"  Other good attributes including the Aliens and Mother Ship.  Is there anything the Mighty B Cam cannot do??  Insert where?

Rob, Just a bump to see how you're doing on the transmission / rear gear change?

Between the house flooding, selling a house (twice - long story!), some house remodeling, and moving our stuff -- on top of working 50-60 hrs/wk, I don't even have my cracked windshield from BV8 2017 replaced.  I got as far as getting the new glass in the frame but stalled after that.  I did figure out that my water leak on the passenger floorboard is due to how I grafted the metal dash cowl into my RB shell... There's a u-channel under the dash that's close to the middle wiper post.  The wiper bar that runs under the cowl to the posts is being fouled by that U-channel keeping the middle and right wiper posts from seating properly.  So, I need to cut a relief in the channel.

Back on gear ratios, Kelley & Carl convinced me my rear gear with a 2.95 1st gear works well.  So, I bought a T5Z spec transmission in a SN95 case so swap should be pretty easy.  Remodeling will have a break after April and we finish our move at the same time so I should be able to get back on the car after that.

Realistically, I expect to get the transmission changed and maybe the cam swapped before BV8 2018. But, very unlikely I'll do the EFI swap till after that.

Rob, Sorry to hear about your troubles. I was just curious how you were doing. I'm starting a 10 day stretch 12 hours a day my self. Good news is I get to retire in 20 months!. Did you decide to go with taller tires? The smaller diameter tires lower your rear ratio too.

Can't complain Jim.  Our flooding was very minor; only about 2" of water and entire downstairs is tile so no carpet or wood flooring to deal with and only had to cut out about a foot of sheetrock/insulation.  Biggest part of the job as been refacing kitchen cabinets because I had to cut out large sections of the cabinet bases to get air flowing to dry out under them.  

We're just about done though so back to the car in a couple of weeks!!
