Thanks for all the "Good Words". I am overwhelmed by the response from my friends. I DO NOT plan to abandon the British Car Bunch, just move the B to a different owner who can drive it like it should be driven. Maybe a larger car and more creature comforts. " ExKayeate." A 'Leaping Cat' would fill the bill. Thanks again for all the great times and we will continue on.  The Medical issue is small detail that I can deal with. Have another DIckel and SAFETY FASTER.  
This post is to say how much I enjoy the company of all you friends, nothing feels better than being around you when we are together at a meet or just B.S'ing. The wives are also a great bunch and Sandy really feels welcome and part of the gang.  Maybe a tad slower but with the Dickel Lube, I can still move :-)  Hope to see all at Indy.

How does one remove the door hinge bolts, without drilling them out...I am out of KROIL!

Dave, i just knocked a full plastic small bottle of Kroil off the shelf and covered the floor.  It does not clean up like oil!  Wish you had it rather than on my floor. SAFETY FASTER!

Dave, what you use is an old style impact driver and hammer with a #3 or 4 phillips bit. The bit is a little hard to find but that does the trick.

That's what I used.  Most came out with some mild persuasion but I ruined one bolt.  Although I don't expect to have to remove them again I used neverseize when I re-installed them.

Dave has tried the inpact hammer....I've suggsted that he add a little MAPP gas.....then perhaps resort to the drill.

The plates behind the door jamb are removable/replaceable. I do not recall if the slots needed to do that are there, but they can be cut and covered with the trim panel and seal.

Yes, there are slots so that the plates can be removed.  I have a handful of extra plates if you need any.

So after drilling the head off the screw just has to be drilled out of the plate so it doesn't stick out either side and the plate can be slipped out and replaced.
