Mallory E Spark Conversion a 27 series dual point dizzy

Hello all

About to install the above in an MG B V8', I am receiving conflicting advise as to the connection of the starter circuit to the plus side of the coil, effectively bypassing the resistor  every time I crank the engine. My concern is the progressive degrading of the module to the point where I get a premature failure.

Replacement module cost approx £ 50.  I am reluctant to risk the starter circuit connection .


Is there any advice on the subject from users of the kit. - I would appreciate your thoughts on the subject
