Question....Can the Buick flexplate be used on an Olds 215? Balance wise are the Olds and Buick 215 crank and rotating assemblies the same?
I would be running an adapter setup with a GM 200 R4

Yes, the short blocks have only minor differences such as different damper configurations (interchangeable) slight difference in rods, different pistons and the extra head bolt in the Olds. Front covers are the same. Heads are different, exhaust ports are at a slightly different angle and the rocker shafts and valve covers do not interchange. Buick heads will go on an Olds block. And of course a lot of the Rover stuff also interchanges. I have Rover cast valve covers on my Buick 340.
