Folks, one of the good things about buying Kurt Schley's old MGB is that I can find plenty of articles on here about how he made the car.  One of the articles is a cliff hanger:

Oldsmobile "215" Stroker Motor (289 cid)-Part 1 http://www.britishv8.org/articles/strokedoldsmobile215v8.htm

Kurt mentions he was going to make the motor and put it in an MGA conversion after breaking it in in his MGB.  Did he finish the motor?  Did he put it in an MGA conversion, or is it the motor in my car?  Is there a Part 2 to the article? I'm trying to do some sleuthing to find out what has been done to the motor.

BTW, I have not yet picked up the car because I'm recovering from shoulder surgery.  But when I do in February, rest assured, I will post pictures!

Kurt has "fallen off of the face of the earth" and the e-mail that I have for him is no longer vaild.

Tables of contents for all the old editions appear here:

Part 1 appeared in the 11.3 issue, which was the final one Dan Masters edited. After that, James Jewell took over as editor. The topic must have fallen through the crack.  I don't see any sign of a follow-up article in the twelfth year or thereafter.
1971 MGB GT V8
Buick 215 w/ Rover heads, custom EFI & crank-fired ignition.
Custom front and rear coilover suspensions.

Dang!  Supposedly the MG comes with three binders of documentation.  Once I get it, I'll see if I can piece together the motor's history.  Maybe it's up to me to write Part 2!
