Does anyone have a pattern or template for the bottom end of the 3.5-3.9 engines?

Larry, Since your going to mill it to fit, you might best dychem and scribe. How thick for material ? Accepted clearance between pan rail and girdle, is usually .005".  "Sealtite" from aero industry, and silk thread should seal it up, excellent for motorcycle verticle split cases). Cheers, roverman.

I don't have anything drafted up but you might check to see if Wotland still has that mainbearing girdle for sale still.

I am having a dense moment. I don't understand clearance between pan rail and girdle. I had planned to attach 3/4 alum. plate to pan rails with longer studs, use long studs for the mains with studs going thru girdle and spacers between main cap and girdle. Then nuts torqued on top of the plate. Cut out only clearance for crank and rod rotation. (and oil drain if necessary) I normally use anaerobic sealers for that type of rigid joint. Maybe you have a picture of one somewhere? Thanks for the help.
