Hopefully a bunch of people will chime in here with variations on this theme, but I'll get the ball rolling with a snapshot from the photo gallery page for Mike Alexander's 1968 MGB:


My own is a little different because I substituted a straight piece of 1"x2" box tubing for that crossmember, so my wedge part is taller. Also, I used two round rubber mounts instead of one rectangular one.

We modified the stock crossmember on the MG-Roadmaster. Don't remember much about it, I think it was just a wedge of some sort welded to the top.
