Welcome to the forum, Tristan! Tell us all about the conversion you're evidently starting to plan.

I used a Borg Warner T5 (circa 1992 Chevy Camaro V8) and it bolted right up to an old Buick 215 4-speed bellhousing... How well it fits the body depends on several things including which generation MGB you have (because MG had ~3 different tunnels), which motor mounts you use, which type of slave cylinder you'll accept, etc. - IMHO, a T5 fits easier than a Rover box in a Mk2 or later MGB, but it fits less easily than a Borg Warner T50 or a Toyota box. Not to put too much of a damper on conversation... but it might be quickest and easiest to take a census by scanning through our photo gallery and How It Was Done archive, plus there are some good articles on transmission issues in our tech article archive.
