anyone have a switch on their clutch pedal?

I upgraded my keyless ignition box to a newer version that let's me control my door poppers using the a couple of configurable buttons on the keyless  ignition's remote - so I only have to carry that one remote now.  Rub is the new box has a wire that's intended to be wired into the brake (automatic) or clutch (manual shift) pedal as a safety feature.  I have it bypassed right now - just wired hot whenever the ignition is on.  Had planned to keep it that way permanently, but it seems if the wire doesn't cycle on that lead at least once after starting, I have to hit the start button twice the next time I go to start it.  So thinking an easy fix (without resorting to manual switches) would e to go ahead & hook up a switch on the clutch pedal.  If anyone has one I'd like to look at some pics to get some ideas for how to mount it to make it easier to get a switch that will work.

Is this for a remotestarter or just a push button start?

No pictures but VW have used a switch fon the clutch pedal for years on their cruise control and all new manual cars have one for starting since ~2001.
Should be lots too chose from now.

That's exactly what I was after Curtis.  Looks like there are some bolts for the pedal box that, maybe with longer bolts, will hold the bracket with no welding required.  Looks like I have another trip to LKQ coming!
