Monterey Historics 2008

I am heading up from Orange County to Monterey for the historic races and Pebble Beach Concours this year - is anyone else going?

Hi Will,

How was the races at Monterey? I would have loved to go. I went last year or maybe it was the year before when all the 1965 Ferrari era was there. Now that was some history and the crisp sound thay had back in those days. If you could post some pictures that would be great.

2008 will be my first year going to the races and Concours.  I'm driving up on Thursday night or early Friday morning to try to catch some of the Tour d'Elegance.

Where is the Tour d'elegance being held??

Here is some pictures from the 2004 Historics. Curtis may move these to the race area.





I have a ton more pic's . I may send them to Curtis to post them.

I may even go to the 2008 Historics. It is well worth it. I have been going there since late 60's, a very exciting track area is the cork scew turns, a very sharp turn downhill S turn.

Awesome pics!  The tour drives down 17 Mile Dr. and the PCH to Point Sur and back to Carmel.  It's gonna be off the hook!  I hope I can make it - I rechecked my reservations and I'm checking in Thursday night so I'll actually be leaving on Thursday morning really, really early.

The hardest part is trying to decide what to do - The Quail?  Concorso Italiano?  Historic Races?  Auctions?
