This time around, it's Carillos. How to know if their Carillos ? These checked-in at 52rc on hardness. I's not likely you'll find any Chinese copy's above high 30's in "c" scale.  These likely saw Nascar use in a Stage II Buick V6,(used). Some have rust and dings. SPS 7/16 bolts.  I've been warned to check pin end bushings for wear. I'll be checking big ends for size and roundness.  I shall carefully grind away rust and dings,  will also glass bead. Wet mag inspect and check for straightness. If all goes well, then probably "cryo treat". Since this isn't a race motor,(only 450hp.), I feel these rods should be adequate for 80hp/cyl. Block is 4.1L production, symese bore unit, with (2) center main caps upgraded to splayed 4 bolt and a main girdle. Crank to be forged after market or billet(Nascar). Heads and intake,( 4 bbl) is latest Stage II V6. The V6 is at least 4.24" shorter than the Rover V8. This makes a transverse mid-engine swap(914), much easier. Onward, roverman.
