long time since i posted on here due to work mainly

I had a pair of new shafts made to fit my factory V8 axle by Moser via Webster Race Enginering in the UK.

The factory V8 shafts would let go whenever I tried to add a lot of power off the line. So i had to limit this and gamble on my launches on the 1/4 mile.

The new shafts were delivered to me at the track by Websters and I have to say that I'm more than happy with them. For the first few test runs we increased the launch power to where it had been when it snapped the old shafts. The result was 2 new PB's back to back with both wheels off the ground at launch. I'm now going to freshen up the front and rear suspension for next season :)

This is my Son doing a first test pass with half boost of 7psi.

And now with 7psi + a 100 shot of gas.

I'm hoping that with full boost of 15psi from the blower + some nitrous that we might be able to get near the 9 second mark on the 1/4 mile :)

Excellent choice I think Perry.  I don't know that any of our engines where as strong as yours but when we had the Street Rod Shop we put out some rather extreme small blocks that spun two 16.5" wide Hoosiers and used Moser 31 spline axles exclusively.  In seven years we never had an axle failure, in fact they're all still going, or they would be if the temp here in Dallas wasn't 107 to 109.  They'll have to wait until fall I think, at least I will!

Thanks for the info Paul.
I'm so very happy that I can put snapped shaft issues behind me now :)

Next problem will no doubt be the TH350 that has been battling hard for 6 years now. Off gas she is putting out 503 ft/lbs. I didnt do a dyno pull on gas but i reckon she must be somewhere near the 550 ft/lbs with gas.
