MGB GT V8's in the Netherlands (#2 of 2)

This is a especially handsome build... and from a rusty factory MGB GT V8 bodyshell!

Sebring body kit, beautiful body detailing and paint work, completely custom dashboard (as part of a rhd to lhd conversion), leather upholstery, and lots of one-of-a-kind shop-made parts.

Most of the distinctive factory-V8 parts are long gone: the original engine, MG's distinctive induction and air filter system, factory iron manifolds, low ratio rear axle, Dunlop composite wheels, special V8 dashboard and steering wheel, single circuit brake system with remote servo, V8 badges, etc. etc... Kinda makes you wonder. Did someone put all those parts on a replacement bodyshell?

Dear Curtis,

When I started the restoration of this MGB GT V8, all original V8 parts were there.

I still have the 4 Synchro O/D for the V8 at home, but I preferred the LT77 Rover 5 speed.

The rearaxle I sold as this is a rare item, and due to the 15" Alloy and high profile tires, my gear ratio is just fine now, when cruizing on normal speed. Beside this, the standard B-axle is much stronger as all the V8 axles have a thinner carrier for the Crownwheel.

The Orignal induction set I sold as well, as i would make this car special anyway with the extra bonnet bulge. I will install EFI in future, so no harm done anyway.

All these parts sold, gave me some finacial benefit in my younger years to finance the hugh restoration cost.
