Ford engine for next gen engine swaps?

I think its a 60 degree v6, all aluminum dohc, 305 hp, 280 ft lb torque, 30mpg... Sounds like a great candidate to stuff into a small light car once these start hitting the junkyards in a few years.Some say Ford may even sell these as crate engines.. wnder what the pricing will be?

If it's as wide as the Ford 4.6/5.3 modular V8 engines, it'll have a tough time fitting into most LBC's...the 60 degree "V"  may help......width anyone?

That new V6 Mustang just got 48.5 mpg over at the Bristol Motor Speedway. Must have been real exciting turning laps at Bristol at just under 44 mph!

It's a Ford Duratec V6 (Duratec 3.7 DOHC Ti-VCT V6) so the dimensions should be very close to the V6 in the 2009 Lincoln MKS.

One description of the engine as being "rev-happy" would make it a great MGB candidate. IF it will fit.

I doubt the width will be  a problem but the height might. That link doesn't show the intake, but with a straight down shot to the valves it isn't going to leave a lot of room up top.
