Why not simply use the private message system?  Dan's ID here is "racinemg"...  but you don't have to commit that to memory. If you type "Dan Root" into the search box at the top of the page, you can review some of his posts and you'll see his ID next to them.

Thanks for all the responses. I have passed along some of the info, as have others and I'm sure the appropriate contact will be made in due course.

Curtis, that is a good suggestion. I have long wondered how best to contact someone when I couldn't remember their forum name. I always figured their real name wasn't included in the drop down for security reasons, but heck, I have trouble enough remembering just one name for people, two or more sort of stretches my limits.
