FYI
This manifold will not work on 215 block with 300 heads. Do you know later cast iron 300 heads and manifold are different than aluminum ones. Someone put an aluminum 4 barrell 300 manifold I had on a later 300 engine but had to do some mods.

Not sure why that would be the case, I have 300 alloy heads on a Rover 3.9 block and the Edelbrock performer intake which should have the same pattern apart from the port runner size on the Wildcat intake, bolted on, i did have to machine the intake faces on the heads as I had zero height decked the block and a little had to come off the intake to match the top of the runners to the top of the ports in the heads.

I believe the reason this manifold will not work on a 215/std Rover block (regardless of the heads used) is because the P76 and 300 blocks have significantly taller decks that require a wider intake manifold.

The flanges may be thick enough to shave down to 215/std Rover width, but then that just seems like a waste of a really nice p76/300 part...

Hey Roverman, that intake is getting around. It started with Roverman
who purchased it from Wildcat as Rover intake to fit his Merlin heads.
It wouldn't fit the Merlin heads but I thought it might fit my ported
Buick 300 heads with a bit of work (likely weld the floors) but, when
I got it, I discovered it was not only wider than a 215 intake, it was
wider than a Buick 300 intake. At that point we figured it must be for
a P76 block with the larger Wildcat aftermarket heads. I measured it
for a Buick 340 guy who wanted it for his tubro 340 project. He's the
guy who has it on Ebay now.

It's far too wide for a 215. You might be able to mill and slot to fit
a Buick 300 block however. I have some pictures of it comparing the
width to a Buick 300 intake.

I missed the fact that it was a P76 specific intake, unusual for a wildcat as with a P76 you normally have to use adaptor plates to increase the width of most aftermarket intakes.

However I think they were Harcourt intakes cast for wildcat with their name but I could be wrong.

arent all of these intakes manufactured by Bill Laney of Max wedge performance in Australia... and If you live in Austraila wouldnt there be a bigger market for a P76?
