|Engine:||Buick 215 V8 engine, factory four barrel manifold, Edelbrock carburetor,
Pertronix "Ignitor" ignition and "Flamethrower" coil. D&D aluminum radiator.
|Cooling:||D&D aluminum radiator, with electric cooling fan.
|Exhaust:||block hugger headers into 2.25" pipe, Flowmaster muffler, and resonator.
|Transmission:||Borg-Warner T5 5-speed, Buick flywheel and pressure plate. Custom driveshaft.
|Rear Axle:||Salisbury axle, with original 3.909:1 gear.
|Front Susp.:||stock, rebuilt with urethane bushings.
|Rear Susp.:||stock, except for tube shock conversion.
|Wheels/Tires:||14" aluminum wheels, with 185/70 Warrior tires.
|Completed:||February 2002. (Driven approximately 12,000 miles as of British V8 2008.)
|Comments:||I purchased this car from an eighth grade science teacher in February 2006.
The original owner had only put 3000 miles on it in four years. Since I purchased
it, I've rebuilt the front and rear suspension, added all new shock absorbers,
had the transmission rebuilt, and installed a new exhaust system. I'm still
tinkering with it too, to personalize it to the way I want it. I'm still almost
always having a lot of fun with it. I drive this MGB V8 everyday, except when
there's snow on the ground.
