Saw the black version on "cut, chop, rebuild" show's '68 camaro project this past weekend. Thought they would look nice in some of the "resto-mod" mgb's - performance, comfort and looks!

Since Classic Industries only supplies a few gm cars and trucks, they're going to be to wide for our cars.

Thanks for posting!  Seat options are always interesting, although I'm starting to think I'll never get around to "upgrading" my seats. IMHO, seats just aren't one of the MGB's weakest links.

I couldn't find dimensions on the Classic Industries website. I think they have a bug in their code because it seems like clicking on product images should link me to somewhere. From the thumbnail photos, it looks like they'd be way too wide for my butt.

I'm more intrigued by these:

Note that they have taller side supports, provisions for racing belts, and corduroy instead of vinyl in the center section to reduce sliding around. Twice the price, but if I'm just window shopping anyhow...

Hey Curtis,
I rather like these Carbeau Classic's and they are about 17" or less , a bit on the snug side for me , might be just right for you! I think you can get them with or without the head rest. I have seen some B's with these in them and I was told by them they are very comfortable .

Curtis, since you are on the thin side compared to someone like me with a fairly wide back side you might consider getting a true "racing " seat such as the Kirkey I installed in my Midget. They come in various widths so you can get one that fits you just right and with a little good upholstery work can provide a quite comfortable seat. I added about 3/4" of high densidy foam to mine in the bottom and on the back for a lumbar support and made the trip to Indy and  back without any discomfort.
Besides, they would look the part in your car for sure and the cost is pretty easy to live with as well. I bought the seat and the optional upholstery and only have about $300 in it.

Bill, we're thinking alike again.  You know that seat photo I posted earlier in this thread? Jerry Richards has one of those in his trailer for occasional installation as a "passenger seat" in his racecar. When I asked him about it he said "You don't want one." I sat in it, and now I know what I really need is a real racing seat like you've installed. But I need a lot of other things worse...

The problem with the really nice driving seats that can double as racing/track day seats......they are expensive!

I just don't think I would like a real racing seat for any extended street driving.

If you must have the "vintage" look, without going off the deep-end with 'bomber" seats, perhaps repro Speedsters ? 2 cents, roverman.
