I was going through all of my stuff in the garage and basement and found some copies of the BL Motorsport fuel Injection cross-ram manifold. I must have about 100 sheets that cover every nut and bolt for the reproduction of the intake. The dates vary from early 1979 to 1980. This is the manifold that only 10 were ever produced with Group 44 using 2 of them and BL Rally program running 1 car that John Buffum drove.

In that last pic you can see my old yellow car in the background - so sad!

To contact Ian he can be reached on this email address:-

mailto:info@triumphroverspares.com.au (info@triumphroverspares.com.au)

(I'm lucky, he is only 5mins down the road!)

Moderator, what type of pics are you looking for, I have quite a few and if I don't have what you're after I know where the car lives :-)

TR8's and TR7-V8's are very sadly under-represented in our photo galleries. I feel bad about it... but I haven't had much luck fixing the problem. Both of the cars you showed above are certainly candidates for articles! We have two separate gallery sections: one for street cars plus a brand new gallery specifically for race cars. In either case, what I like to see is lots and lots of close-up photos of construction details. Candidly, if I can't get enough photos to tell the full story of all that's special about a given car, I'd rather not publish the car at all. On the other hand, I don't want to publish redundant photos. (One or two "glamour shots" or "action shots" per article is enough.) That might mean as few as twenty photos per car, or possibly over 100. Here's a pretty good example of the sort of photos I like to include: Keith's MGB GT V8 racecar (74 photos). With all articles, I like to receive a completed "How It Was Done" worksheet so that I have all the car's basic specs and features in a standard summary that's easy to comprehend. The worksheet, plus more tips about photos, can be found here.

Hi

Between 2008-2010 I build a TR7V8 rally replica with injection.
Wonder if there are any Pierburg manifold for sale or drawings.

Does John still sell his I.R. x-ram mainfold ? Anyone have port sizes at head entry ? Cheers, roverman.

JE has X-ram manifolds for sale. Manifold port size is about the same as his stage 4 heads.
JE development can be found here

Per,

I have the drawings of the intake and finally got a set made before my copy got destroyed....so I am back to one copy. I was going to sell my "new old stock" peirburg intake but have now decided to keep it.

I need to get off my butt and get copies made......Neil I owe you one for Ian. I have not seen another for sale but from what I was told that 10 were cast and I know where the sand cast mold is and I have been trying to see if it can be purchased. The complete set of drawings is huge. The main sheets that show the external and internal views are the best. I have one framed and hanging on my basement office room wall.

Hi Mike

Very nice pics. Have you ever though of putting the manifold on an engine to see how it performs ?
I drive my TR7V8 at historic rallys, so if you change your mind about selling your pierburg manifold please give me a call
