Lotus Esprit + SBC

The merits of this New Jersey car have become somewhat buried beneath a deluge of speculation about year & VIN, but here we have an 88 (or not) Esprit with 350 and Renault transaxle.



Converted in the 90s, so it's said, with a reported 17,800 miles since.

Looks very tidy. Immaculate, in fact.



Bidding on BaT ends in four days. Currently bogged down in VIN issues, if that's not a problem for you and the wedge styling floats your boat, could be a bargain.

Unsurprisingly, RNM at $14,500.

Subsequently auctioned  on eBay, no mention of the 'issues'.
Made just over $15,000. Don't know if it actually sold.
