Where to look for any builds of 215/RV8 as a V16 ?  I may inherit an unfinished project.

A friend's uncle had two mounted on a pulling tractor. His brother still has the blower manifolds and a bunch of the pieces

Thanks Tony, any pic's ?  These will be joined/welded at the ends, with 9 mains, which  shortens the package about 4-5" ?

@hoffbug it would be fun to see what would happen if you put all this on modern tractors. Would it make a race car? LOL. My uncle had parts like this, very old but well preserved. He sold them on eBay for good money and bought himself a great tractor from these guys https://www.machinerydealer.co.uk/compact-tractors-for-sale/. And now enjoys life on his farm. Sometimes he tells me he regrets selling his Chevy LS V12, but still, there was nothing to do. A farm needs a working tractor, not old junk. Peace to all.

All I need to do is semi-retire.... My build is to be (2) 4L RV8's, stress mounted,( common main girdle and rocker covers).
   Splined snout of rear engine engages splines of front engine. Everything aluminum except streched T-bucket body.
                                                                                                        Cheers,  Art.

Finally getting to it. Initially 450-500 hp. ? Complete V16 should be about 550 lbs. Projected car weight of 1,600 lbs. +/-. Not sure on dry sump pump ratio to crank speed. 100% or 50% is easiest.

What about Mickey Thompson style?
Two engines side by side. One canted left the other right.
They were joined by a gear drive if I remember right. Not too much wider than a regular V8.
.....Just looked it up. The car was called the monster and used 2 pontiac engines.
He did another chain driven show car earlier.
Cheers

Donny Johansen and family drag raced "Twin Bears", 2 sbc's in "W" canted about 22 deg. This was just enough for exhaust.
  Drive output for each was flywheel teeth. LA Roadster Show had a "W" roadster.  I'm looking for low CG and smooth. At  a reliable 1,600 lbs, I'll need some skilled design.

You will be pulling something off if you hit that weight.

Yes indeed, which is why I'm building. Silly as it sounds, frame is .125" wall x 2" x 4" alum. tube. Unthinkable except entire
   powertrain is, stress mounted. Finally get to test if I learned enough at Chaffey College : "Engine and Race Car Design".

Update, made the mill cutter for 1.375" dia.x 10 splines. Broach for female splines is from Lenco racing trans,{same dia.}
