TR3 plus Four

Hello

Glad to have found this site. I have been quietly working away on my little project for nearly two years now, and  am getting to where it may spark some interest. What we have here is a TR3 body on a TR6 chassis with a Nissan 240SX running gear. I should mention that the TR3 body was cut in half lengthwise and widened four inches to fit on the TR6 chassis. Can I play with you guys? I'd like to do an article on the swap/ mods/techniques etc used throughout the project.

Regards

Randy

Of course you can!

I'm sure Curtis would welcome an article on your project as much as we will enjoy reading about it.

Outstanding! Welcome! Randy, your TR3 is a perfect match for our website/magazine.

We have a template for "How It Was Done" articles that helps us get down the basic specs and features of each car accurately in an "executive summary". That's just a starting point - I'd encourage you to extend your remarks in any direction you think might help readers with their own projects. You can get to the template from this link: http://www.britishv8.org/British-V8-How-To-Contribute.htm
The link also includes tips and info about contributing photos.

I'm traveling all day today on business. In fact, I'm about to head for the airport right now... but don't hesitate to shoot me an e-mail (or "private message" on this forum system) if there's anything I can help with.

Of course you're welcome to come play with us. You know that you have Triumph purists spinning right now ;-) Let em spin, it's a neat car and great looking workmanship.

You will fit, "spot on"

Nice quiet work!

I am always surprised at the level of creativity, workmanship, and passion of those with dreams of building something outside the box.

Keep sending pics and updates so we can live the journey with you.

Hi Jim

I just submitted the article draft and pictures to Curtis. Hopefully he can make something out of it!

Hi Curtis

I emailed you the draft for the "how it was done" feature, as well as some pictures. I'm really glad to find you guys! Looking at some of the gallery pictures I can see the work that has gone into the realization of these dreams. It's an inspiration to know that others are into this kind of thing too. There were a lot of people back home here who begged me not to cut this car in half. After putting in over 1000 hours some of them are starting to come around and warm to the idea. Imagine that! I wonder what I missed on TV during those 1000 hours....

Cheers

I received the "How It Is Being Done" article this morning. It's beautifully written - a GREAT read! I can't wait to get started on laying it out into website format. My only regret is that there just aren't enough hours in each day. This next edition of British V8 Magazine will be exceptional, but it looks like it'll also be pretty late.

Hi Curtis

Glad you liked the article. Did you have any problems opening any of the photos? I re-sized them in Photoshop before sending them- they were a wee bit too large to get all of them through my email account at one go.

Thanks

Randy
