Pretty neat Curtis, lotsa Mllers sitting on the grid ! board tracks were quite popular, there was a big one in Los Angeles
the movie stars used to attend regularly, difficult to maintain tho.

Curtis, how many Millers were built?  from what I can determine from  Mark Dee's Miller dynasty and Griff Borgesons
Golden age of the American racing car, there were 11 front drive Millers( 91s and 122s) the rear drives from the late teens
to 1932/33 seem to be in the 6 to 10 car run(annually),however there are few hard core numbers as they were rebuilt ,reengined , many times as the displacement kept changing. Most were straight 8s some were made into V-16s, some were cut down to 4 cyls for midget racing, but the Miller marine engines were the most interesting variety of configurations.
After the fall of Harry Miller Inc(1933) he went on to doing aircraft and other specialty engines including the 35 Ford Indy effort
and the Gulf Miller 6 cylinders, of the few Gulf Miller cars built several were destroyed in a fire at the Brickyard.
pics       Leon Duray, Miller 91 front drive  (#4)  one of the most beautiful Millers ,  imho. and a rear drive Miller 122.

Hold those thoughts of Millers and other old race cars, we'll be visiting the Smith Collection during the 2013 meet and they have a great musuem with a lot of early race cars and engines for us to drool over.
