It never was clear when I asked this question before whether anyone had a block boring bar availible for the rover/olds/buick engines.  I have purchased a 7"x19"x3.5" aprox 48# chunk of aluminum to make one out of.  Do any of you insist on these during a build?  I feel it is standard practice for a high performance build these days.  Do any of you have builder that use these?
This tool may be availible at later date for you to borrow if there's any interest.
 ARP studs? yes?
  How about total seal rings?

David and clan, I have (2) steel ones, wasn't worried about the weight. Properly done these will work on 215's - 350's and Buick V6's, "if" their strong enough to torque-distort the bores. FWIW, I like gapless rings. They always make more power, on the dyno. If your using studs, also use them AND a head gasket to simulate the distortion of a head and gasket. Good Luck, roverman.

David,

The block boring bar sounds like a great idea.

I hope I might borrow it when I build another 3.5 Rover engine.

I should have googled this before restarting this thread.  It's great that most of these articles show up when googled.  This was discussed in detail pretty well in the past.  How much of Brit V8 data base will show up when googled?  Doesn't hurt to get more oppinions I suppose         d!

I hope nearly 100%. An awful lot of work has been put into making both website and forum "Google friendly".
