Home base will be at the Talley Ho Inn, as always.

Sometimes we have a cookout, sometimes a small group will go hiking, always a drive or two or three.

Like Dan Blackwood says, "For anyone not familiar, the Townsend Fall Gathering is a casual event. No registration, no car show, lots of hanging out in the parking lot, exploring the Smokies and just having a good time with car people!"

Oct 2nd to the 5th at the Tally Ho in Townsend TN, coming up in one more week.

A group headed south down I-75 will be meeting for lunch at Firehouse subs in ... Winchester? Richmond? Someone else will have to tell them man 'cause I just can't get into that... (Ref: Rare Earth In Concert)

Jim Miller and Vince will be coming from the land of oranges and alligators, Steve D and Dan B from the coastal areas, Rick and company from the flatlands, even a couple of locals. It'll be a party.

A great time was had by all, too bad you missed it.

Somehow nothing has gotten posted here, well Carl's been down with the
Abnormalvirus and it's just too darned convenient to post on What'sApp and Facebook so we get the leftovers if we are lucky. I've pretty much given up on arm twisting so we'll just have to see how it goes. Maybe the Secretary might make some sort of a report. I know for a fact there were loads of pictures taken (not by me though so I don't have any of them), rumors of a 'wheelbarrow' incident, and assorted other misbehaviors. I guess you just had to be there.

Since this an informal gathering of friends, we don't normal have an official report.  Some of it, like in Vegas, should stay in Townsend.  ;)

When we are out having fun, no one wants to stop & post here.  Unfortunately, it is not very easy to post here from a cell phone.

BTW, it was the Norovirus.  Nobody wants to get that.  Also, as we age, we don't bounce back from it as fast as younger folks.  I have had COVID twice (mild cases).  That was a piece of cake compared to this.
