Sold on BAT: one of our MGBGT V6 projects

We completed this MG-BGTV6 just a few years ago:

The chrome 15" wire wheels, door panels with blue welting that matched the seats, wood steering wheel, shift knob, bumperettes, and single yellow fog lamp were removed, but the rest of the work is ours.

Although it looks good this way, I believe it no longer differentiates the earlier GTs (65-67) from 1970's GTs as it did when it left us.

What would you change on this B if it were yours?

What would I change? Although headrests and 3-point belts wouldn't be period correct, I'd fit them because they're such a huge safety upgrade. I expect your door cards with blue welting probably looked a whole lot better than the plain cards on it now. It looks like it's carrying around twin batteries, and I'd correct that. Why would anyone carry around 30 extra pounds of lead and acid? Weird. Obviously other aspects of the car are modernized, so why not that?

One thing I certainly do approve of are the alloy eight-spokes (especially compared to chrome spokes.)
