New Sebring Flare Kit?

Hello all,

With the demise of Preform Resources, the availability of a good Sebring kit seems to be lacking.  The other kits that are still available seem to all have significant issues in fitting and general quality, as far as I can tell.  I am thinking of creating some new molds with a very talented fabricator in Southern California.  To make the molds (and resulting front fenders and rear flares) he would like a starting point--namely one of the existing kits and some original sheet metal.  Is there anyone in Southern California that has one of those kits lying around that could be used to create a starting point (the kit would not be destroyed, just the first set of molds)--and, even better, a GT that could be used as test fit?  If there's anyone out there that might be considering a Sebring, this might be a way to get a much better kit.  Any ideas, please let me know.  Thanks.

I thought Pete Mantell took over the Preform Resources molds and continued production.

Curtis, he may have, but I don't see anything about them on his website.  I'm going to reach out to him, but I wonder why he isn't advertising them, if that's the case.

Pete sent this out awhile back:

Hi Gents,

Mantell Motorsport has purchased all of the MGB & C related molds from Dave at Preform Resources.

Dave is finally 'partially' retiring.

We plan on starting production in December.

Dave will continue building Spridget, Bugeye and few misc. parts.

If you or if anyone you know is considering one of these MGB body kits and bonnets, please feel free to pass on my info.

Thank you.
