"The Exploder" suffered an engine fire and now I'm in the process of putting everything back together.  It's been a while since I've updated my project journal so you can follow along with the updates if you are interested:http://forum.britishv8.org/read.php?13,8264,8264#msg-8264. Sorry for the big pictures that cause the text to extend into the margins.  Easiest way to read the text is to highlight it.

I'm inclined to laugh at people who carry an extinguisher, I guess I got that wrong. You could have lost all that work. And not only did you have an extinguisher but it was one that was not so old it wouldn't work, so you did a five star job.
Yes, I've heard about the mess powder makes, didn't realise it was that bad.

Over here in the UK, the same, it's hard getting garages to do non-standard work. I needed to get the non-standard gearboxes resealed in my Land Rover V8 conversion, had to drive it 180 miles to a specialist transmission shop that could/would do the job and six weeks later it's still there because he lost staff during the pandemic and is having trouble finding people. It seems youngsters don't want to work in a trade where they have to get their hands dirty.

Not easy being a car enthusiast.
