Generally Ivor, The timing has little effect on the fuel mixture.
The fuel mixture however does have an effect on the timing that an engine will tolerate.
Normally a leaner mixture will require less timing.
The best way to confirm engine timing is on a dyno. But you can do a reasonable job with timed acceleration runs as well.

Live like you mean it.

"Around 14.5 - 15.0 on economy.
Still rich on power and WOT, nearer 11 - 12."

Looks very close to me.  You want it a bit rich when you stand on it.  Mine is right at 15 on the highway & about the same as yours at WOT.

Oh, OK.
So if I take the secondaries down from 89 to 86, that might be about right.
I'll try that tomorrow.

Fred.... my Speedhut GPS speedo can give me 0-60 times... or could except the display is u/s. Lifetime guarantee, I need to send it back for repair, it's just the hassle..

Still rich at WOT with 086 secs, around 11, so I tried 083s.
Still nudging low 11s.
I'm sure I could go to 080 secs, when I can be bothered to take the top off again.

So what I ended up with:
083 primaries.
Orange springs.
Accelerator jets 024 in the bottom hole.
7057 needles.
Will be 080 secs.

Thankyou for all the assistance.

Ha, thanks, that was a while ago.
I have now.
And changed the title of this one.
