I'm wondering if anyone here has come across this issue with the Rover LT77 5 speed. It's on my MGBGT's 3.5 Olds V8. When you are going down the road and accelerate aggressively the shifter vibrates and makes what a pilot might liken to the sound a stall warning stick shaker makes. Other than that it operates well, other than a few issues. The 2nd gear sincro is going south. I've noticed that reverse is touchy and if not fully engaged you might get a funny vibration telling you your not fully in gear. I know there is someone here thats experienced this with one of these transmissions. It may be that its due for a rebuild. On that note, is there a better option for this car and engine package. It may be a fitment issue going to another type of 5 speed.

You could check to make sure your bellbousing bore is concentric with the crankshaft.

Thanks, if I end up removing it,I'll check that. It doesn't vibrate or make any noise under normal driving though.

May not be the trans at all.
A Ujoint can do that, as well as a broken leaf spring. Could also be a driveshaft that is out of phase.

It might be something with third gear. Now that I think about it, thats when I usually get into it. I cant say it does in the other gears.
Thanks for the input!
