Finally got around to working on the fender my son rearranged. Thought it would need cutting and welding but managed to massage into shape. Not perfect but a little more putty and paint and I think it won't be noticeable to the casual eye.

Nice job. Are you going to tackle the bumper or just buy a new one? With the cost of rechroming these days it might be better to just buy a replacement.

Jim, bumper was shot, creased so I tossed it. Either I'll purchase a new one or look to reshape the rear. I'm thinking to center line the tank and split the exhaust.

That's a good look especially if you reshape the rear sheetmetal

Just about finished up. All the metal was pulled, dollied and massaged back into place. The taillight base is bent so it's not sitting flush, need to find another 62-69 base.

Very impressive. That would have been a couple of grand in a UK bodyshop.

You know about the stainless bumpers... https://groupharrington.com/product/mg-mgb-bumpers/.
Have heard good report of them.

I had a nice chrome bumper laying around that I pulled from a parts car. Just trying to locate the over riders I pulled off the wrecked bumper as they were still in good shape. No idea where I put them. Stainless would be nice, though I didn't the front bumper and shipping from UK ain't cheap, hell, shipping from anywhere ain't cheap these days.

Group Harrington iirc are run by a Brit, but they're in Vietnam.
Don't know if they will supply rear only.

Where I put them... so, it's not just me ... lol
