I have purchased the Rabbit flares two for the front- Part # 95 20 59-1  and two for the rear - Part # 95 20-59-2
Before I start cutting etc. I have a couple of questions:

Can I put them on with the body which is still on the rotisserie?
What about the kink at the bottom of the fenders?

How do I redo the rear inner fender?
What would be good size (make) rim(s) with the appropriate offset?
Could not find the answers on the Forum.

( I tried to attach pics but they must be > 600Kb )
What can I do to attach pictures? Can I zip them?

Thanks

- I used Dodge Omni flares, but did put them on while my car was still on a rotisserie.  No reason you can't.

What about the kink at the bottom of the fenders?
- Not sure what you're referring to here.  Pics may help (see below for how)

How do I redo the rear inner fender?
I used steel to bridge from the original inner fender to the new to close the gap.  It's been a while but if I recall I used about 5-8 pieces installed and welded together one at a time due to the curves going in multiple directions.

What would be good size (make) rim(s) with the appropriate offset?
- You need to decide on wheel width, diameter, and offset as well as tire size before you weld the flares on.  Offset will depend on your axle width (hub to hub) along with wheel width and tire size.  And, you need to weld the flares on where you'll have enough clearance to the tires when the suspension is fully compressed so you need to know the tire size.  This tool can help...  CjwKCAiA767jBRBqEiwAGdAOr7BIHnPFgSHT0GlBqlEHsqKEJg3HSkcOIEKpqGaaRWWGGsKL4y9SthoCJtkQAvD_BwE

- Try resizeimage.net. Or Google "free online image resize tool" and you'll get several options.

Thank you for your reply - Clicking on the tool that might help did not work - also I am having problems with the resizeimage - I am looking to reduce the Mb - I really wanted the show some pics. I'll try to find another way to do that.

Sorry I saw you question too late. I hope you solved most of the problems now. If not I can help as I have also worked with installing the rabbit flares on the rear fenders. As far as the kink in the flares I gave it some taps with a heavy hammer to flatten it out.
My problem was if I would install the flares low enough to stay under the trim line on the body or go above it. I decided to stay under it.
Haven't tried to weld the flares on the front fenders. Seems much more difficult and I don't want to spoil a set of good fenders.
Let me know if you need more info.

Hi guys,

Can someone tell me if these are the correct Rabbit flares?  They are supposedly 75-84 rear panels and I intend to use them on the front.  I've read that you don't need the larger replacement panels, but the smaller (flare only) panels don't seem to be readily available.

Funny thing is I had a Mk1 Rabbit--should've kept it.

Thanks Carl, yes I've read those--I appreciate you passing them along.  I guess I'm just hoping someone can verify by looking that these are indeed the right shape (I don't 100% trust eBay) because the pictures I've seen show the flares after they are installed.  If I'm not mistaken, 75-84 *is* Mk1?

MK1 years, yes.   I can't make much of those pics.  Who takes them from the backside?!

Ah, thanks Carl.  You saved me--I didn't notice that these are apparently INNER arches.  Time to look some more.

EDIT:  I decided to ask the eBay vendor and he confirms these are the outer arches.

MGBV8

Outer arches, but not pics of the outboard side.  Weird.

Yeah, I want to make sure there's a return policy.  But the price is right if they are correct.

Found a couple of pics of the Rabbit parts. A little over halfway down.

Thanks Carl, I appreciate it.

Carl, thought you'd like to know that I got the Rabbit rear patch panels and they were indeed the correct part, so a pretty good price at under $100 for the pair, including shipping.
