Regret that we have a conflict and will not be able to attend.  My 50th High School 50th reunion is the same weekend.

I'll miss see all you guys, have fun.

:(  Laurance and I aren't going to make it for this visit.  We hate to cancel but we're looking forward to the next lie swapping and tire kicking event.  Please give us a rain check.  And keep us posted on events and hotrods.  Until next time,  Laurance & Casey

Mickey Richaud

Sorry y'all can't make it this year.  Next time...

Leaves are just now beginning to turn color.  Will update temps and leaf "progress" next week.

Regretfully I will not be able to attend the BritishV8 Fall Gathering.  Too many obligations, too little time.  I am sure it will be a great event; I will be shooting for next years gathering.  Chris Lindh

LAST CALL!  We'll be buying the goodies for the cookout pretty soon.  Any other changes to the list above, please let me know.

Looking forward to seeing everybody!

We're still on Mickey............third try is the charm. Flying to Nashville Wednesday morning. Two previous attempts to come to Tennessee had to be cancelled. Normally the fall colours here would be well under way but an unusually year here and the leaves are just beginning to turn. 90*F today (felt like 96*) and 87*F tomorrow.
Phil

Mickey Richaud

Great, Phil!  Not a lot of progress on the color change, but they are turning.

Up here in Northeast TN, the peak is usually right around the the third week of October.  Just got back from a mini-beach trip at midnight last night to a yard & driveway covered in leaves.

Plan to see "You All"  at The Talley Ho next Thursday!  All ways a great time!

I hope to make it for at least one day. My "215"  74.5 BGT is running pretty well right now. It just does not like the higher altitudes. It runs a bit rich at 3000 ft. I am playing with some carb needles to see if I can make it cleaner.
Bob

Barney

Marcia and Terry Senneker will be there driving there BGT V8!!!!

RMO 699F

Robert White....although there will certainly be occasional altitudes of 2/3k feet on mountain drives, according to my gps last year, I was surprised to see that the community of Townsend is only about 800 feet above sea level...less than my flat land location in Tipp City, Ohio...

Mickey Richaud

Jim & Melinda Watson will be here for the cookout, so we're at 41, unless there are last minute changes.  One request:  not unlimited parking here(!), so carpooling will be helpful.

Looking forward to it!

Carl beat me to it!  2 seat'ers std fare .   My rear seat is insurance only requirement.  Just large enough for a six pack cooler.   Should we bring Bear Repellent?

Mickey Richaud

"Now, Mickey, you know we all drive 2 seaters. ;)"
Yep - so I figure that'll cut the count in half!

"Should we bring Bear Repellent?"
Some of you guys ARE bear repellent! ;-)

Jean and I am really looking forward to "The Gathering" in Townsend next weekend and will be arriving late Thursday afternoon...in the 1972 MGB....unless something catastrophic happens to it this week.

And...just as a reminder....if you are planning on attending the cookout at Mickey and Janet Richaud's chateau on Friday night, please bring $10 per person to cover the cost of the evening, which Mickey has shouldered so far.

Looks like we'll have a great turnout...looking forward to seeing you all...making some great drives...and having a lot of fun!!

Mickey Richaud

Latest weather forecast says we'll have highs in the low 80's; lows in the upper 50's.  Zero chance of rain Thursday and Friday, and only 10% for Saturday.  Gonna be a good'n!

Arrived in Pigeon Forge from Nashville yesterday afternoon, planning to be at the Tally Ho Thursday afternoon.

Phil....

There is a great car collection in Sevierville.

There is also the Tennessee Air Museum at the airport....

Don't let humanity get to you in PF or Gatlinburg.

Consider driving through Wears Valley to get to Townsend. You can avoid Gatlinburg (but would miss the Little River Road).

kstevusa

Good to hear you made it Phil!  We plan to arrive Thursday pm.  Drop over and we'll have a "DICKEL"

MGBV8

Since you are already immersed in that giant tourist trap, might as well drive thru Gatlinburg to get to the Smokey Mtn National Park.  You do not want to miss the drive to Townsend via the Little River Road!
Carl

mowog1

I now prefer Wears Valley Road over driving through Gatlinburg.

We'll have opportunity to show Phil the Little River Road during the weekend.
