Okay, what is the trick to getting the windshield and frame lined up and back on the car. I read somewhere that a piece of 1/4 rope in the flap will help you pull the flap out flat. So I did that but that isn't the problem I'm having now. I can get the bolts closest to the pillar in but then I can't even get close with the two on the end of those ears. I tried putting the bolts in the center post and they pulled the pillars farther away from lining up

I used a bunch of ratchet straps.

If I remember right, I got the bottom two bolts in and then levered the windshield/frame forward to get the upper tao to line up.  Best done with a couple of people so you dont put excessive twisting force on it.

x2 on people helping to push down, and I found that without an air ratchet I don't think I would have got them to start once it was close.

Make sure that the rubber is warm. A really hot day or a hair dryer work well (no heat gun unless you are very skilled with it)
And coat it all with liquid dish soap so that it can move.

You can also sweat on it a lot, that helps too.

Could you please post it here Jim? It would be good to have that resource available to all.

Notice: I've extracted Jim Durham's post with killer MGB-roadster specific tip and photo to its own thread, and I've made that new thread a "sticky". I'll leave this thread open for other/general windshield related tips.
