Thanks Don,
I love the seller last line.
"Save some money on restoring your TR6, when this one all it needs is your engine and transmission."
Rust in one door then a couple of years, rust in other door, kinda turn me off.

I am still looking.

And not much description. He has no idea, really.

The TR4 is better looking than the 6 imho, and I say that as a past 6 owner.
Other than the bumpers having been replaced by silly wotsits, looks pretty good.

Looks good but lack of pictures and information about the build is lacking.
I have requested needed pictures and information.
He is close enough to drive down to look at the car.
Thanks, Don
George's TR6 is up to $19500.00 with 1 day left.

Just my luck, the ebay TR4 disappeared. I sent him 4 messages and no reply to any of them.
Guess I pi$$ him off. Could find the car in closed auctions either.

Geroge's TR6 sold for $22,500 on BaT site.

Oh well, guess it was just not meant to be.
Don are you ready yet to sell me yours?

Until you find this unicorn of a perfect V8, how about this with a blower, 5-speed and forty years' history?

Thanks, 88V8.
Now that is different.
I am sure that someone know if a single carb can supply enough fuel under boost.
This is the same color as my 74 TR6.  They are estimating 140 HP.

Tomball is about 30-40 minutes from me.  I was going to offer to have a look, but eBay says the listing "ended".  Not sure if that means it's been sold or listing expired or what.  If you want to reach out to the seller & it's still available, I *might* be able to check it out tomorrow or early Saturday.  After that it'd have to be sometime the following week as my schedule is jam packed with work & getting things ready for a major surgery (& subsequent recovery @ our house) for one of my sons.

87Buick GN

Rob, thanks for the offer. I am looking for something with more HP & torque.
Best of luck on the surgery on your son.
Been there and had that done on me.

Hi Joe,
Thanks for responding to my ad. I am looking for a Ford or Chevy v8.

There is a '74 TR 6 with a 5.0L Ford engine for sale near Nashville.  $15K.   Saw it in Facebook Marketplace.

Thanks Ivor,
It looks like a great deal of attention and hard work went into this conversion.
The owner like of color is difference from my preference of color.
The price is too high for my budget.

It is beginning to look as though you are a perpetual looker, not a buyer.

88v8

Perpetual looker... yes, very easy for that to happen. I looked a long long time for a TR + V8, they were never quite right, or the timing was wrong, in the end when one came along I thought... 'I'm too old, and the wife wouldn't want to swap our comfy Rambler for that...'... so it never happened.

Now I'm sort of looking for a Jensen CV-8. There are four currently on offer, one is very dear, the others I don't like the colour, or it's the interior colour.
Like this https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1272914 that awful bright red which was popularised by a TV programme where the hero drove a CV-8 with that colour.  The other common option was black. Why??? Except an undertaker, who wants a car with a black interior, not me.

OK there is some slight logic here, a colour change of paint or leather is £££. On the other hand I could afford it and there were just 500 of these cars built fifty-five years ago, what are the chances of finding one that's just right.
I mean, get a grip, you'll be dead one day, a lot of good saving that £££ will do you then, But still, here I am, no Jensen.

Yes, some of us are just too picky. Perpetual looker, good phrase.

I know you wanted a TR6, but this might be very different for you.

I do know you would stand out anywhere you drove.

If I was still in NC, it would be with 30-40 miles from where I lived. Now over 700 miles.
It does look good. Sounds like a good driver and it would turn heads because very few people would know what it is.
I did not know that they used ford running gear. Right hand drive would be interesting and shifting left hand more so.
