Personally I'd just as soon they had stuck with, "Almost Heaven" or even, "Montani Semper Liberi" (Mountaineers are Always Free).

More to the point though, go ahead and make your room reservation. Since it doesn't cost anything, why not?

When you make your reservations, be sure to let them know you are with the BritishV8 group and the rate is $85. This is the best rate they offer, according to the manager, so you will not do better with senior citizens or government or AAA rates or booking over the internet some way.  Call 304-645-7722 and make your reservations in our group so you get the best rate and your room counts toward our block.

You should guarantee your room for arrival after 4PM.

There are a couple of good local caves for sightseeing, one is actually right inside the Lewisburg town itself. Um.. so let's see, Organ cave? I think that's one of them. There's a great saltpetre cave, in fact that might be the name of that one. Anyway, good sightseeing especially on a warm day.

I could make a career dining at "Food and Friends" restaurant in downtown Lewisburg...Oh wait, I actually have done that!
Chuckle....

There's an echo in this here cave!  ;)

The Organ Cave looks to be the one in the beginning of the video. The Confederates mined saltpeter from it. Only 10 miles from the Quality Inn.

Lost World Caverns is even closer.  Only 2 miles away.

But do the Spuriites really need saltpeter at this time in their life?

BlownMGB-V8

You mean like for gunpowder? Don't see why not...

Jim

mowog1

No...pharmaceutical usage.  It's an old wives tale that salt peter (KNO3) increases in the inability to achieve erections.

Dan B

Old wives are probably more effective at that....

RMO 699F

Is it true that gynecologists are spreaders of old wives tales?

kstevusa

maybe Schlitz Liquors?  You're killing me :-)

Rick I, just read of your "unfortunate" experience with John Denver music.  Is it remotely possible you gave him the safety training, before his last flight ?   Safer/faster.

Dan B

John Henry competed against a steam powered drill using a sledge hammer and chisel in the rock on this tunnel on the right.  You can see the statue of John in the middle of the picture.  This park is about 30 miles from our hotel
