Does anyone know if a 1972 Triumph Spitfire flip hood/nose piece will fit a 1968 Spit?

It can be made to fit but is a different design
1972 is a squaretail a 1968 is a roundtail.
It has been done in the past but there are mixed reviews on how it looks.

Sorry, not sure what 'square tail' and 'round tail' is referring too on the front hood/nose piece.

The early spitfires up to 1970 are typically called round tails and 71 up are typically called square tails the bonnets (hood)  also changed at that time.  With some front hinge modification either bonnet can fit but will not look original. I personally like the late model bonnet on a roundtail but opinions vary on that.

Either way it's not a direct bolt on swap but not really difficult if you can fabricate things yourself.
