Anyone ever look at '88 Fiero rear to Spit/GT6?

I found a complete '88 Fiero less engine, really cheap.
Not sure how well the rear suspension would adapt to the GT6, if at all.

I know the Fiero uses a strut and that can be modified.
Thinking use the strut mount holes to fit an upper "A" arm, add a coil-over shock.
Might be able to add the entire Fiero rear cradle, mount a diff and driveshafts.

Need to visit the local P&P with a tape measure, if they also have a Fiero on hand.

Mostly idle speculation until I can get a look at one.
Unless some one already knows the answers?

Now trying to locate a Merkur XR4Ti rear to look at.
Cannot find any pics on line but hope it is similar to T-Bird but smaller.
Very popular in the UK for swaps and appears good to around 300 HP.
I think it also comes with the correct PCD that I need, or very close.

Putting the V6 up front ? Mazda RX7 is a complete modular diff/suspension unit. A t-axle with torque tube,(944/etc), would help weight dist. and lend chassis rigidity.  roverman.

Thought about  a TA but there are few choices available.

Porsche and Audi seem to be about it at reasonable cost.
All fairly old now and none with a stellar reputation.

The added bulk might make fitting the fuel tank a challenge.

A Delorean/Puegeot  might be nice as I know they handle moderate V8's but they are now too rare.
