I've seen, and been involved in, a few cam discussions but haven't seen this topic discussed.  I have no plans to change to this cam because it's a little low on the top end rpm, but thought it was interesting and might answer questions for someone else.  Lunati has a bearbones cam (10310101LK) with the original 302 firing order but they offer the same grind for a 302 (10350101LK) with the 351 firing order I assume to keep the #5 piston from firing after the #1 piston to reduce the force exerted on the front of the crank.  Can this cam be used in an early block and just move the spark plug wires around at the distributor, or is there a lot more to it than that.  Just curious!

Paul, You can use the newer 302HO,5.0,351 cam by changing the firing order. Chevy did the same thing with the LS motor, something to do with crank harmonics. On the Chevy they changed valve locations also, so changing the firing order won't work.  Also smoother idle. I plan to use a later grind  cam for the 260 in the Sunbeam also .I have also heard it adds a few horses too.

Rumor has it "The Mighty B Cam" located the stolen girls in Nigera ,but the military has no "gonads."   Is there nothing the B cam can't do? :-)
