Anybody know how the factory installed the radio in a 1960 BT7 ?

Are you sure there was a factory radio option?
1971 MGB GT V8
Buick 215 w/ Rover heads, custom EFI & crank-fired ignition.
Custom front and rear coilover suspensions.

MGBV8

Not many. Most were Dealer installed.

QuoteAccording to BMC executives at the time, cars were not shipped to the US with radios unless purchased in Europe for later US delivery. Although a few owners indicate otherwise, the diverse types of radios supplied by dealers leads me to think that there was no official radio and the BMC radio (BMC being the next to the last corporate name for the group) was the only one of many provided.

I don't know nor have I stated that US frequency-compliant radios were provided by BMC in the UK. The radios supplied with orders for Healey European delivery. I expect were of a multiband design to address such a situation. I am aware that three friends brought back Healeys following their military stints and touring after arranging UK factory delivery. Two purchased and had radios installed by UK dealers while the other said a Becker multiband was installed, per his request, when he picked up the car at the factory.
