1976Bonito

I purchased this car in 2004 from a person in Macon Ga. I don't have to much history other than what I have found on the net. This car is titled as a car not a kit-car. The title is stated as make is Fiber Fab, model is Bonito and year made is 1965 as this is the year that was used as VIN# on the chassis. The VIN# between the rear tail lights inside the body states that what I have found on the net was made in April of 1976. The car was built in orange gell coat as the sales catalog shows. I do have all the books that came with the car this includes a 24"X34" body cut out orange poster, 8.5"X11.5" rice paper page that shows the same cut out as the poster shows, 3 page sales catalog with fold out page that shows full body of the car, 12 page builders manual. I drove this car for about 3 years and decided to rebuild this into a SCCA street racer. Have changed the chassis from VW stock pan and lowered it by 3" and is now flat plate steel for more head room and roll bar. I  am still working on the chassis and will be adding 4 piston Will-Wood disk breaks, raised center tunnel as the shiftier and shift rod rides on top to the VW Ranchero Pro Street bus trannie that has been beefed up and has 437 gears and that will be attached to the  Auto Craft Midget Engine built by Dennis McNutt  for Grey Dewiler and the size is 2332cc alcohol injected very very mean motor.
