Here's what I ended up with:

Interiors are tough, hard to find someone local that will do what you want, in a short period of time, and not charge a mint for it. So, I decided to give it a shot. Time consuming but fun! And, it's a perfect side-hobby for when it's too hot or cold to be in the garage.

Good work Ryan.  Did you do that on a home or commercial type machine?

mgbreis

Thanks Rob. It's basically a kind-of heavy duty home machine that my wife bought for me off of ebay. I wish I had a machine with a real walking foot, but this works okay with a walking foot attachment.

So Ryan, let me get this straight.
You took a perfectly good seat and turned it into blue plaid?
But seriously, good job man.
The walking foot machine is useful in heavy material but isn't needed in everyday upholstery.
I have a few styles of machines and use a house hold style 1964 Singer zig zag  machine more than any other.
Cheers
