SCCA race fans,

It's looking more and more like the MG RV8 will be ready for the April 14/15 Hallett OK SCCA National SCCA race weekend.

This will be the first "National" SCCA race weekend for the MG RV8.
Last year the RV8 broke in many places and in many ways at the very first - ever - MG GT2 SCCA race.  Time to try again, with many improvements, upgrades and repairs.

Wish us luck.  And if anyone is interested in being in the cast of "crew members" - at Hallett, April 14/15 - let me know.

keep themn on the track

Great to hear Phil!     I'm going to try and get to Hallett that Friday 4/13         What motel will the crew be staying at.

I wish I could make it! I'm headed to Road Atlanta the following weekend, so it would be awfully tight scheduling... but I hope to get to one of your races later in the season, and I certainly do wish you luck.

Phillip, Not likely I'll make it but best of luck to you and crew, Art.

David, most likely they'll be camping at the track, Hallett is about 30 miles from the west side of Tulsa so most motels are quite a distance from the track. There are smaller towns in the area with some lodging, but don't know where Scott would stay other than at the track. I can't make it either, glad you'll be there to cheer Scott on.

Anyone want to ride down from St.Louis 44 west, Friday morning 4/13 to Hallett?

No Hallett race for the RV8 GT.

So we take the GT2 RV8 to Heartland Park for a "Track Day" on Wednesday before the Hallet National weekend.

We tested and adjusted the front brake bias on the fast testing lanes near the pits and put the RV8 on the HPT track,
early before the lunch break. After running well befor turn 6 of HPT, the engine died.  The RV8 had to be towed back to the pits.
Low battery charge, we first thought. Only to find later, that a small screw had come loose in the distributor. Easy fix, but testing
is incomplete and we are forced to skip skip Hallett.  So we plan for the next SCCA race at Heartland Park May 4,5 & 6.

keep them on the track
